Description

The Birth Place Lab (BPL) in Vancouver, Canada is part of the division of midwifery at the University of British Colombia and facilitates multidisciplinary and community-based participatory research on maternity care. BPL has been active with the subject of Respectful Maternity Care (RMC) for years. RMC is my PhD subject. In August 2018, I contacted Kathrin Stoll (Research Associate at BPL) about the possibilities for knowledge exchange and collaboration. I applied for a travel grant of the APH program Quality of Care and was granted the scholarship to visit BPL in april 2019. During the visit, we worked on measurement tools and a joint paper.
