Research interests

Before joining the HealthPros project team as a PhD Candidate Damir worked as a Public Health Resident at the Croatian Institute of Public Health and the President of the European Network of Medical Residents in Public Health (EuroNet MRPH). His previous professional experiences include clinical medicine (psychiatric hospital), health policy (Ministry of Health) and medical device industry (multinational manufacturer) work. He was a scholarship awardee at the Alpbach Forum’s Summer School on European Health Systems, Erasmus Summer School of Public Health at the Rotterdam’s Erasmus Medical Center, French Government’s Young Professionals funding programme, European Health Forum Gastein's Young Forum Gastein programme; to name a few. He was also actively involved with European Commission co-funded Joint Action projects on patient registries (PARENT JA), health technology assessment (EUnetHTA JA3) and European (public) health information systems (InfAct JA). My volunteer experiences include medical consultancies in different projects dealing with public health and vulnerable populations (elderly, LGBT and medical informatics).
