Research interests
How is childhood trauma linked to health, and specifically to the comorbidity between mental and somatic health? This is a topic I investigate as part of the EarlyCause project (EarlyCause). By studying how childhood trauma is linked to bodily systems, we uncover mechanisms through which it may affect mental and physical health in the long term. This will hopefully allow us to learn to prevent (the co-occurrence of) diseases and promote health.
