Research interests
Focus of research is on preserving and improving daily life performance of patients with chronic disabiling conditions based on a thorough understanding of underlying working mechanisms.
Primary target groups are neuromuscular disorders, especially late effects of poliomyelitis, other slowly progressive neuromuscular diseases and critiically ill patients.
Methods include advanced quantitative movement analysis and exercise interventions and innovative orthotic devices, the latter in collaboration woth industrial partners.
