Theme 1: Improving quality of life of older adults with a fracture, especially vertebral fractures leading towards hyperkyphosis and hip fractures. 

- Frail hip study, PhD Sverre Loggers (Erasmus MC); Evaluation of non-operative versus operative management of high risk patients with hip fracture. Is non-operative an equivalent option?

- Apollo trial, PhD Mathilde Tol; Is a direct lateral incision in patients with hip fracture more prone for falling than a posterolateral incision?
