Heleen Hendriksen works as PhD student and neuropsychologist at the Alzheimer Center Amsterdam. Her expertise of research field is medical communication in the memory clinic, with a focus on predementia stages (i.e. mild cognitive impairment and subjective cognitive decline). She is involved in the EU-FINGERS and ABOARD projects, where she develops and validates tools to support clinician-patient communication in the memory clinic. An example is ADappt, an online platform of tools that supports memory clinic professionals in shared-decision making, interpreting and discussing results of diagnostic tests with patients and caregivers. Heleen obtained her Research Master Cognitive Neuropsychology at VU University in Amsterdam and her Bachelor Psychology at Utrecht University.
