Assistant Professor (UD) at Amsterdam UMC, VUmc, specialized in burn wound healing, skin regeneration, and immunology, with a focus on the immune response after burns and developing advanced (animal-free) human skin models. Additionally, an educational role in Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at VU University, providing lectures, coordinating tutorials, and supervises internships, thesis projects, and PhD research.
