Research interests
My research focuses mainly on pain sensation observed in Irritable Bowel Syndrome patients. Previous research from our group suggested that luminal gut fungi are relevant in visceral pain perception. In my current work, I aim to elucidate the mechanisms through which fungi or its components are mediating pain.
