Research interests

Margot van de Weijer is an assistant professor in genetic epidemiology at the Amsterdam UMC, location AMC. Her current work focuses on the comorbidity and causality between substance use and psychiatric disease (PI Jorien Treur). 

Before starting her post-doc, she obtained a PhD in gene-environment interplay for well-being at the department of biological psychology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
