Palliative care, end of life care, decision making at the end of life, qualitative research
Research interests
My research focus is on palliative care in a broad sense. It ranges from early palliative care to the dying phase and care for bereaved relatives. It includes different populations including different patient populations and their relatives, the general public and health care professionals and it includes all health care settings where palliative care is given.
My research is mainly focused on the quality of palliative care with the ultimate goal to improve this care for future patients. I use both quantitative and qualitative research methods, with a particular interest and experience in qualitative interviewing and participant observation methods.
