Project Details

Description

My group works on clinical, epidemiological and diagnostic aspects of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) and emerging skin infections. The focus is on:

1. Emerging STI among Men Who have Sex with Men (MSM) like lymphogranuloma venereum, HPV related anal cancer precursor lesions (AIN)

2. Antimicrobial resistant gonorrhoea

3. Biomedical and behavioral interventions to curb STI including HIV

4. The relation of the anogenital microbiome and STI

5. Emerging Skin Infections like cutaneous leishmaniasis and borreliosis

6. The management of leprosy in non-endemic settings
