Mulder-van der Wall B.J.M.: Adult congenital heart disease: long term outcome and genetic basis

Several studies are running on late outcome in adults with congenital heart disease (Long term outcome and mortality, Eisenmenger syndrome, Marfan syndrome, Tetralogy of Fallot, Gender differences, Arrhythmias and Pulmonary Hypertension ) and 3 other studies on the genetic basis of congenital heart disease. In the CONCOR registry, a national registry and DNA-bank for patients with CONgential CORvita (www.concor.net) nearly 15.000 patients have been included. CONCOR has an important scientific spinoff and attracts many national and international experts in the field. Therefore, international collaboration plays an increasingly important role in our research group. In 2010 CONCOR became the 9th pearl in the "Parelsnoer"-Initiative , PSI, an initiative of the Netherlands Federation of University Medical Centers.
