Project Details

Description

Research on MRI in determining disease activity Crohn’s disease concerns both improvements in accuracy and acceptance as well as image processing (in collaboration with Technical University Delft). Research is performed on improving MRI of the bowel, including studying peristalsis. Several project in the field of advanced MR of diffuse liver diseases are performed with emphasis on MR spectroscopy and MR elastography. This research is extended to whole body MR in Gaucher disease.

In 2014 three theses were finalized:
- Anneloes Bohte. Quantitative imaging of liver fat and fibrosis. (January 31, 2014)
- Marjolein Leeuwenburgh. MRI in suspected appendicitis. (February 7, 2014)
- Jeroen Tielbeek. MRI for grading Crohn’s disease. (October 3, 2014)

In 2015 four theses were finalized:
