The purpose of the study is to determine value within insurance medicine. To determine this value, research is important into the application of Value-based healthcare (VBHC) within insurance medicine practice, defining a minimum set of value-oriented outcome indicators and adding insurance medicine in a healthcare network. The focus of the research is on the client with cardiovascular disease(s).

The aim of the research is to determine value within insurance medicine by (1) translating the VBHC concept into insurance medicine practice, (2) defining a minimum set of value-oriented outcome indicators and (3) setting up and investigating a healthcare network in which insurance doctors participate.
