N2 - In contrast to a recent study reporting an unexpected significant difference for total 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) between serum and EDTA plasma, we demonstrate that concentrations of total 25(OH)D, 25(OH)D2, 25(OH)D3 and 24,25(OH)2D3 do not differ between matched serum and EDTA plasma samples, using two well-characterized LC-MS/MS methods.
