Abstract

A 88year old woman presented with severe pain in the lower back which radiated to her left leg. She was diagnosed with a sacral insufficiency fracture. Sacral insufficiency fractures are a cause of lower back pain in the elderly population that is frequently overlooked because the symptoms and signs are not specific.
