N2 - The development of therapy with anti-angiogenics or vascular endothelial growth factor inhibitors (anti-VEGF) has marked the beginning of a new era in neovascularization and macular edema treatment. Its main goals are the inhibition of growth and development of new vessels along with the reduction of vascular permeability.
