N2 - In-time evaluation of treatment outcome is essential for adequate and timely adjustment of the treatment plan and to ensure optimal treatment outcomes in patients with chronic ankle instability. Correct assessment, however, is challenging due to the great number of variables contributing to the success, i.e. failure of treatment. In case of chronic ankle instability the best method to evaluate treatment effect is a combination of physical examination, specific physical tests such as the single-legged stance, diagnostic imaging in case additional joint damage is suspected, and functional outcome scores.
