Abstract
Wood’s lamp examination and the dermatoscope play a significant role in the diagnosis of melanocyte pathology. The use of an UV camera results in a more complete picture of the extent of vitiligo lesions. By using reflection confocal microscopy, we can increase the specificity in the assessment of naevi in case of dermatoscopic equivocal lesions. There are also potential applications in the diagnosis of lentigo maligna, pre-surgical margin assessment and a tool in the follow-up of (non-surgical) treatment response.
