Research output: PhD ThesisPhd-Thesis - Research and graduation internal

Abstract

The overarching aim of the research presented in this thesis is to contribute to the development of a non-invasive standardized method to assess small bowel motility. The specific objective of the research in this thesis was to develop and evaluate a MRI sequence and scan protocol for assessment of small bowel motility with MRI. It explores bowel preparation and acquisition requirements for small bowel quantification on MRI in healthy volunteers. Finally fasted and fed small bowel motility was studied with MRI in healthy volunteers.
