She is a member of the Board of Directors of Procolo, a center of expertise for colonoscopy in close collaboration with AMC. She has been intensively involved in the Dutch national screening programme for colorectal cancer, for which she was awarded in 2013 a honourable prize, the ZonMw (the Netherlands Organisation for Health Research and Development) Pearl. In this unique and comprehensive interview with Prof. Dekker, she discusses the Dutch colorectal cancer screening programme. We believe that a glance into this programme may give inspiration to others and, last but not least, may help improve the quality of screening and non screening colonoscopies in the daily practice.
