Abstract

A patient is presented with multi-organ failure caused by pulmonary hypertension leading to right ventricular failure with low output state. The pulmonary hypertension was successfully treated by sildenafil. The patient was discharged home without any sequelae. Hence sildenafil can be used to lower high pulmonary artery pressures and to ameliorate right ventricular failure that leads to multi-organ dysfunction.
