Research interests

Main interest: Epidemiological research in patients with chronic kidney disease

Vianda is Associate Professor and a Principal Investigator at the Department of Medical Informatics at Amsterdam UMC. She is the director of the European Renal Association (ERA) Registry, a European Registry on dialysis and kidney transplant patients. She leads a group of 10-12 people (postdocs, PhD students, data manager, and secretary). Over the years, Vianda has supervised 10 PhD students and has published more than 110 scientific articles.

Vianda also teaches in the master of Medical Informatics and in the post master Health Informaticsat the department of Medical Informatics at Amsterdam UMC, location AMC, and in international courses on epidemiology for nearly 20 years.
