MijnDossier voor mijn medicatie: inzet patiëntenportaal voor medicatieverificatie.

In this study, we investigated whether patients could play a more active role in medication verification by submitting their own medication usage via the patient portal. Currently, two-thirds (64%) of Dutch hospitals have a patient portal where patients can view their own medication. Only 16% of hospitals, including Amsterdam UMC, allow patients to submit medication change requests through the portal. In this study, we evaluated the medication functions of the portal, including the submission of medication change requests, with the input of patients and healthcare providers at Amsterdam UMC. Additionally, we explored the usability of the portal for supporting medication verification in collaboration with patients and healthcare providers.
