Real life measurement of the influence of hearing loss and listening effort on stress systems in adults

REAL-HEARING investigates the relationship between hearing impairment, increased listening effort, subjective fatigue and stress. We will investigate the effect of hearing impairment on the subjective and physiological stress response. We will apply pupillometry, physiological measures and questionnaires in the lab and in daily life. Ambulatory measurement equipment is used in daily life. The main goal is to identify and validate parameters that predict the stress experienced by the hearing impaired in everyday life.
