Description
In this project we are investigating the effects of chronic stress on the progression of diabates through computational modeling. We develop physiologically relevant dynamic computational models and calibrate these models with data. We try to identify key metabolic pathways that connects chronic stress to diabates and potential intervention poins.
Layman's description
We use mathematical and computational tools to find out the way chronic stress contributes to the progression of diabates.
Key findings
Obesity is a major player in the progresion of diabates. Obesity and associated metabolic abnormalities might also be key mediators that link chronic stress to diabates.
