Abstract

Isolated intraperitonal traumatic bladder rupture is seldomly seen. Because signs and symptoms are often equivocal diagnosis is often delayed. The preferred diagnostic modality is conventional or CT cystography. Surgical exploration and repair, in analogy to the treatment of an iatrogenic bladder trauma appears to be the best option although there is no high grade evidence.
