N2 - A 60-year-old Ghanese woman was treated with radiotherapy and capecitabine for metastatic breast cancer. 6 weeks after starting capecitabine she developed palmar and plantar hyperpigmentation, which preceded symptoms of hand-foot syndrome, a known adverse effect of capecitabine. After a dose reduction, the hand-foot syndrome diminished but the hyperpigmentation remained. 8 months later the patient was well and stable
