Abstract
An overview is presented with regard to fetal urinary tract abnormalities and the implications for postnatal follow-up. Single dilation is the most commonly found modality where conservative management is justifiable. However, early detection of renal parynchymal abnormalities and dilation with obstruction and renal dysplasia is very important. Postnatal follow-up and treatment can be instituted immediately to prevent urinary tract infections and further renal damage.
