Treatment of the complex abdomen and acute intestinal failure

Management of the complex abdomen and acute intestinal failure (IF) is challenging and requires specialized multidisciplinary treatment. Due to the small numbers and heterogeneity of the patient group high-quality evidence for some of the research questions is probably unachievable. Nevertheless, the work presented in this thesis is a distinct step towards more evidence-based care of the complex abdomen and acute intestinal failure.
