N2 - Keloids are differentiated from hypertrophic scars by their invasive lateral growth vs. the expansive growth of hypertrophic scars. This case report demonstrates the dynamic nature of keloids and the importance of clinical follow-up on its natural progression over time, especially when differentiation from hypertrophic scars is difficult. Serial photographic documentation is an invaluable aid for follow-up evaluation.
