Onderzoek:
Het onderzoek van de faculteit Gezondheid van de Hogeschool van Amsterdam binnen het kenniscentrum ACHIEVE is gericht op de complexe zorg rondom de complexe patiënt (Complex Care) en Urban Vitality, onderzoek wordt verricht naar de grootstedelijke gezondheidsproblemen. Mijn onderzoekslijn is gericht op de transitie van zorg rondom complexe patiënten (transitie tussen de tweede en eerste lijn). Dit onderzoek wordt uitgevoerd in nauwe samenwerking met het AMC en de lectoraten binnen de Faculteiten Gezondheid en Bewegen, Sport en Voeding (http://www.hva.nl/achieve) Uitgebreide informatie omtrent de output van lectoraat en leerstoel in de bijlage.
Patiëntenzorg:
In de academische werkplaats Polifysiek vindt patiëntenzorg plaats rondom complexe patiënten met hart en vaat problemen, oncologische problemen en ouderen. In dat kader worden door docenten (professional in the lead) patiënten onderzocht en behandeld in samenspraak met de afdeling Revalidatie van het AMC. Een uitbreiding in patiëntenzorg wordt in 2015-2016 verwacht rondom de traumatologie en de kwetsbare oudere (val en osteoporosepoli). Studenten worden hierbij betrokken in het kader van beroepsopdrachten, klinische lessen en excellentie en honours trajecten. Interdisciplinaire patiëntenzorg is belangrijk en daarom wordt intensief samengewerkt met de opleidingen Verpleegkunde, Ergotherapie, Oefentherapie en Diëtetiek.
