Personal profile
Research interests
In our Onco-Pathology research group, we perform genomic profiling of solid tumours to identify clinically relevant subgroups of patients for (future) personalised therapy. We focus on the cancers with the worst prognosis: the Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary and Ovarian adenocarcinomas.
For genomic profiling and other scientific research, the use of high quality biospecimens with pathoclinical details is essential. Facilitation of the responsible use of human tissue for scientific research is the main aim of the research infrastructure Pathology Biobanking and Research (riPBR), of which I am the coordinator.
