Childhood trauma (CT) has been increasingly recognized as a prominent risk factor for affective disorders occurring across the life span. However, the understanding of how CT increases one's vulnerability for future disorders and impacts treatment outcomes is currently limited. Hence, in our current project, we aim to provide more knowledge about the pathophysiology of CT and its impact on depression treatment outcomes as well as give further insights to personalized treatment planning.
